Leveled Entry for Safer Access:
We rebuilt the front deck of this apartment rental unit so it matched the elevation of the entryway—removing trip hazards and creating a smoother transition for the resident.
Removal & Replacement of Damaged Materials:
The original deck was fully removed, including several sections of rotted wood. A new, solid platform was constructed to support the upgraded access features.
Durable, Low-Maintenance Ramp Installation:
Installed a new tan-colored QRamp metal ramp, chosen for its non-slip decking, low-maintenance coated finish, and more attractive appearance compared to bare aluminum options.
Safer, More Accessible Showering:
We replaced a deep, hard-to-access bathtub with a low-threshold walk-in shower, making daily routines safer and more comfortable for the homeowner.
Supportive Features for Stability & Comfort:
Installed sturdy grab bars and a fold-down shower seat to provide extra support and flexibility, allowing for both seated and standing shower use.
Functional & Structural Upgrades:
Replaced the bathroom vanity for improved usability and style, and rebuilt a poorly constructed wall to ensure long-term stability and safety.
Improved Entry Access with a 35-Foot Ramp:
We designed and built a nearly 35-foot-long ramp to provide safe, accessible entry to the client’s front deck—eliminating the need to navigate stairs.
Custom Fit for the Space:
Constructed from pressure-treated lumber, the ramp was carefully tailored to the layout of the client’s home and outdoor area for a secure, seamless fit.
Maintained Existing Functionality & Park Compliance:
We relocated the original stairs so they could still be used and added skirting around the base of the ramp to comply with the manufactured home park’s requirements for deck enclosures.
Improved Accessibility & Comfort:
We installed a walk-in shower, comfort-height toilet, and a new vanity to better support mobility needs and make daily routines easier and safer.
Structural Repairs & Upgrades:
Rotten subflooring was replaced, damaged drywall removed and rebuilt, and four hidden water leaks were discovered and repaired—restoring the integrity of the space and preventing future damage.
Functional Layout Enhancements:
We repositioned the toilet and adjusted door swings to create a layout that’s easier to move through and more comfortable for everyday use.
